Calvary partners with missionaries and missions organizations who are reaching out to and serving people who live in many countries and nations throughout God's world.

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is part of the United Methodist General Board of Global Ministries, and for over 70 years, it is through UMCOR that United Methodists have spread hope to God's most vulnerable people. They continue to be the hands and feet of Christ by welcoming the stranger, promoting global health, rebuilding homes and lives affected by civil and natural disasters, and sending material resources for people around the world. While UMCOR is not included in Calvary's General Missions Budget, we regularly promote their work and sponsor fundraisers to support their emergency relief efforts following such disasters as the earthquake in Haiti in January 2010. Calvary's family has assembled Health Care Kits and Cleaning Buckets to send to distribution centers from where they are shipped around the world to provide basic necessities to those who need them. Calvary hopes to send a team of volunteers to work at the distribution center in Pennsylvania. UMCOR provides Early Response and other training for those who want to be part of disaster response teams. To find out how you can become involved serving and supporting the world's most vulnerable people through UMCOR, visit www.umcor.org.

The Mission Society'mission statement says that it exists to mobilize and deploy the Body of Christ globally to join Jesus in His mission, especially among the least reached peoples. Living out Christ's Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), this organization sends missionaries to countries all over the world to serve their people and to share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ, even in places where Christianity is restricted. Calvary specifically supports the ministry of Travis & Lorna Curry, who are the new Directors for the Children of Zion Village in Namibia. Calvary also partners with a missionary team assigned to China, a restricted area for Christians. Global Transformation Network: This amazing ministry was officially launched in 2000 by two local women, Terry Graham and Diana Mood from nearby Sykesville, Maryland, whose passions were to help disabled people in Ethiopia. In partnership with an Ethiopian native, they began a ministry to empower indigenous leaders to teach others how to overcome indifference, prejudice and cruelty towards those with disabilities with Christian love and compassion. Running into an Ethiopian legislative roadblock in 2008, they expanded their ministry exponentially to Kenya, West Africa, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria and soon beyond. Read more about this mission that is a great example of how three friends can make a huge difference in our world with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. To learn how you can be involved, visit their website at www.gtninc.org.

She Is Safe: This is one of the very few global ministries focused on women's issues, such as child marriage, malnutrition, illiteracy, poverty, and exploitation. She Is Safe (SIS) works to restore the lives of abused and exploited women and girls in high‑risk places, equipping them to live in freedom and faith for a strong future. They equip indigenous leaders to start their own local programs of rescue, health and hygiene, education, economic empowerment and spiritual development. In the U.S., SIS's advocacy program trains and deploys volunteers across the nation as passionate advocates and intercessors in support of women throughout the world. You can become a prayer partner, a project helper, or advocate. To learn more or get involved, visit www.sheis safe.org.
