Rev. Bill Maisch

Bill is an ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church serving in five pastoral appointments in the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference over seventeen years. Bill graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary (M.Div.), Central Michigan University (M.A.), Air War College, Air Command and Staff College, and University of Mississippi (double bachelors). Before entering ordained ministry, Bill served a career as an Air Force officer, combat pilot, and commander. An avid reader and life-long learner, Bill also enjoys flying and spending time with family. A master instructor in Taekwondo, he received his black belt in the Republic of Korea, taught martial arts for over two decades, and was inducted into the International Martial Arts Black Belt Hall of Fame in 2003. Bill is married to the former Jill Allen of Derwood, Maryland. Jill is a 7th grade science teacher at Rocky Hill Middle School in Clarksburg, Maryland an accomplished martial artist holding black belts in karate and Taekwondo. Jill is a beloved Christian author, with (to date) six devotionals published in The Upper Room and is a contributing author in the Short and Sweet Too collection. Bill and Jill have six adult children ranging in age from 38 to 28, and three grandsons.
