How to get here

We are located at 403 South Main Street in Mount Airy, MD 21771.  Parking is available behind the church building, and entry can be made through the rear doors.  Reserved parking for those with mobility issues is available in the front of our building as well as in the rear.  An elevator is also available.

What to Expect on Sunday

It can be intimidating to show up somewhere new, so we’d like to greet and assist you during your visit. Don’t hesitate to ask one of our friendly greeters at the door where to go, or to get some friendly advice on the best place to sit.  Just come on in – you’re welcome here!

We offer services at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays.  The 11:00 service is a traditional service while our 9:00 is more contemporary with a praise band. All services are come as you are, so wear whatever makes you comfortable.  Services last 50 minutes to 1 hour.

Free breakfast is offered 8:30-11:00 a.m. downstairs in the lobby.

Parking is available behind the church building, and entry can be made through the rear doors.  Reserved parking for those with mobility issues is available in the front of our building as well as in the rear.  An elevator is also available.

Communion is offered at both services the first Sunday of each month.  Communion is open to all, regardless of age religious background – you don’t need to be a member of our church or any church to take part in Communion.

What should I wear?

We encourage ‘come as you are.’  In our 9:00 praise service you might see shorts and sandals, slacks, jeans, polo shirts and t-shirts.  At the 11:00 Traditional Service you might see someone in a sport coat and tie next to someone wearing shorts.

What is Faith Formation time?

You can think of it as Sunday School.  Involvement with small groups (ex. fellowship, learning, life, accountability, serving) is a vital piece of the faith formation process.  Faith Formation time is from 10:10-10:50 a.m. for ALL ages.    This is a dedicated time to visit a class, chat with fellow Christians, and further engage in your faith journey.  These groups are very welcoming.  You do not need to have prerequisite knowledge or strong biblical understanding to visit or join a group.

What We Offer for Children and Youth

We have childcare for age 3 and under at both of our services and during the formation hour.

During the 9:00 service, children grades pre-k through 2nd grade will attend Summit Kids Worship.  Children will start in the service in Good Shepherd Hall and be released to kid’s worship after the opening songs.

During our formation hour we have Sunday School for our pre-k though entering 5th grade.  This classes will meet 10:10 – 10:50 while parents are attending classes.. Each week will focus on a different bible story in a fun and interactive way.

We ask that you make a free Kid Check account (you can also sign up on Sunday).  You will then check-in in the upstairs lobby and receive a sticker for each child and a parent receipt.  This helps us know who to contact in an emergency, and ensures that we are releasing children to an authorized adult.

Youth entering 6th grade through 12th will meet in room 207 (middle school classroom) during the formation hour.

We also offer Mountain Top Youth Fellowship for youth entering 6th -12th.  During the summer we gather periodically for fun fellowship events.
